The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a flash flood watch for all of southern Arizona as well as central parts of the state during the daytime hours on Monday and into Tuesday.

Meteorologist Hector Vasquez tells the Arizona Republic that there is also a possibility of winds as high as 40 mph.

The wet weather will likely stir up flooding of roadways and washes in some places.

Drivers could face difficult conditions.
