Banner Health hiring hundreds of employees

PHOENIX — Banner Health is looking for people to fill more than 900 job openings in the Valley.

Many of the positions only have experience requirements and may not require a high school diploma or GED.

Positions include medical assistants, janitorial and environmental services, patient financial services representatives, nurses, and more.

Among those jobs, Banner says they are looking for about 50 housekeeping/environmental services workers, about 400 registered nurses and about 90 medical imaging professionals.

Here's a breakdown of some of the openings:

Housekeeping EVS Associate: This position performs all cleaning of patient rooms and/or assigned areas. Works as a member of the environmental service team to ensure the safety, health, and high morale of patients, visitors and staff by helping to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment with minimal interference to others.
Requirements: Ability to read and respond to verbal and written instructions, fill out chemical identification stickers

Food Service Worker: This position works as a member of the food service team on one or more assignments in cleaning, food preparation, patient tray line or retail cafeteria. Provides service and assistance to patients, staff and other customers in accordance with established dietary and retail cafe policies and procedures.
Requirements: Learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests as required.

Cook: This position produces all required food items based on information obtained from production sheets, catering requests, prep sheets and any other approved source. Plans and conducts daily work to meet food production and service time requirements.
Requirements: High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, one or more years of work experience in production cooking

Certified Nursing Assistant: This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical record; provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
Requirements: High school diploma/GED, BLS certification, CNA license

Emergency Department Technician (Paramedic): This position is responsible for performing patient assessments, treatments, and medications within scope of training. Position receives general supervision from RN, APN, PA, or Physician in providing patient care.
Requirements: Current paramedic certification, BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist: This position independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings
Requirements: Current NBRC and RRT licenses, BLS certification and a minimum of 12 months working as an RRT

Registered Nurse: **Offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus** This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
Requirements: Current RN license, BLS certification and a minimum of 12 months working as an RN
