Save BIG on food by knowing what's on sale

Score some savings on your grocery bill this week by knowing what you can expect to find on sale.

Fry’s

Get a great price on shank ham for just $.97 per pound.  You can also buy a spiral ham for $1.37 per pound at Fry’s with a limit of two. Save on a 6-ounce container of blackberries for $.85 each and you can buy four at that price.

Food City

Head to Food City and get your tamales made for cheap. They have bone in pork sirloin roast on sale for $.77 per pound with a limit of two packages. Food City also has a great deal on a box of shrimp. You can buy up two boxes of raw shrimp for $2.49 per pound. Try six avocados for $.99 with a limit of 12. Stop in at Food City on Thursday, December 17 and buy chicken leg quarters for $.37 per pound sold in a 10-pound bag with a limit of two. On that same day you can buy 73% lean ground beef for $1.79 per pound with a limit of two packages for that price. If you stop in at Food City during their four day sale starting on December 18 though 21, you can buy a 10-pound bag of Russet potatoes for $.88 each. You can buy two for that price.

Safeway

At Safeway you can buy 2-liter bottles of Coke, Pepsi or 7-UP for $.77 each after you purchase five in the same transaction. At Safeway, either clip or download the coupon from their website and buy a dozen eggs for just $1.99 each and you can buy two cartons. If you clip or download the coupon, you can also buy a 64-ounce container of almond milk for $1.99 each with a limit of four.

Albertsons

If you stop in at Albertsons you can buy one 10-pound bag of Russet potatoes for $.97. Albertsons is having a buy 4 save $2 sale on participating Nestle items. So if you buy four you could end up paying just $1.99 for 48-ounce container of Dryer’s ice cream.

Bashas'

Bashas' has whole beef standing rib roast on sale for $4.97 per pound and you can buy one for that price. If you prefer a whole boneless sirloin you can buy one for $2.97 per pound at Bashas’ this week.
