Sunday is National Ice Cream Day!
McDonald's will be giving away a free vanilla soft serve ice cream cone to every customer on Sunday, July 16 at locations nationwide.
To get the freebie, download the McDonald's app on your smartphone where a coupon for a free cone will appear.
The cone can be redeemed either in the store or through the drive-thru, the restaurant said in a media release.
From 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., be on the lookout for the "Golden Arches Cone." Hidden among one restaurant nationwide is a gold-colored cone. The person who gets served that cone will receive free soft serve for life, the fast-food chain said.
