The cat is out of the bag; Sears is closing more than 60 stores, including the one at Metrocenter Mall.

So how does that affect you?

Well, the store has to get rid of merchandise which means there will be lots of sales. But how good are they? I did some shopping to find out.

The signs are everywhere, everything in the store is at least 10 to 30 percent off.

But we found sales even bigger. Some clothes and luggage are 40 percent off. Plus 70 percent off some jewelry.

We found small appliances are mostly at 10 to 15 percent off, 25 percent off furniture and 30 percent off lots of areas including patio furniture and exercise equipment.

Overall the store was pretty full and there are some good sales, especially for clothes. But not enough to go racing to the store.

Some items, like backpacks, were on sale, but I still found better deals online.

So check it out, but do the math to make sure you're actually saving.
