The search for a suspected car thief prompted a barricade situation in Sun City Wednesday afternoon.

MCSO spokesman Brandon Jones says deputies responded after receiving a call regarding a stolen vehicle found at home near 133rd Avenue and Camino Del Sol.
When deputies arrived, several suspects ran out of the home and left in different cars.
Deputies engaged in a short pursuit after one vehicle, which crashed near Paradise Land and Verde Street.

When deputies entered the home, no one was inside the house.
