PEORIA, AZ — A family dog has been reunited with his loved ones after going missing last week, thanks to Peoria firefighters.
On Monday, fire crews say hikers found "Toby" on top of a mountain injured, bitten, hungry and dehydrated.
Toby's owners and a family friend tried to rescue Toby, but struggled due to his size and the rough terrain.
That's when Peoria firefighters saved the day. Rescue crews climbed the mountain and were able to treat and recover Toby off the mountain.
Toby is recovering at home with his very happy family.
