LAKE PLEASANT, AZ — The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office will continue searching Monday for the body of a diver who went missing at Lake Pleasant Saturday evening.
The MCSO dive team was dispatched to the lake over the weekend after the man didn't return while diving with two of his friends.
The exact location where the man went missing is unclear at this time, though officials say crews are stationed near the dam.
Peoria Fire officials confirmed the search is being classified as a body recovery operation at this time.
Divers from the sheriff's office and a private outfit will return Monday afternoon to keep looking for the man, according to Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez.
The man has not yet been identified.
