PEORIA, AZ — A child has died after being pulled from a swimming pool in Peoria.
At around 4 p.m. Friday, Peoria Fire emergency crews were called to the area of 91st Avenue and Deer Valley Road for reports of a possible drowning.
Police say when crews arrived, they began life-saving measures on a 3-year-old after the child was found unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool.
The child was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries where they later died.
Police say detectives are working to determine what led up to the incident.
