An infant and another child have been taken to a hospital after the car they were riding in collided with a school bus in Peoria.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the car crashed into the school bus around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday near Loop 101 and Thunderbird Road.

They say nobody aboard the school bus was hurt, but the infant riding in the car was injured by a deploying airbag.

The extent of the other child's injuries wasn't immediately known and authorities didn't release the names and ages of the injured.
