GOODYEAR, AZ — A child was taken to a hospital after a near-drowning at a West Valley home on Wednesday morning.
Around 7:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to a home near 179th Avenue and Broadway Road in Goodyear.

When first responders arrived, a young boy had been pulled from a backyard pool.
The boy was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The boy's condition has not changed as of Wednesday evening, according to Goodyear police.
It's not clear how long the boy was in the pool.
