GOODYEAR, AZ — One Estrella Mountain Ranch community has a mystery on their hands, ever since a peacock showed up in their neighborhood a few days ago.

Several neighbors reached out the ABC15 Newsroom, sharing videos and photos of the vibrant bird. Neighbors reported the peacock has been wandering the streets, hanging in peoples yards, even getting up on rooftops.

The peacock even becoming somewhat of a celebrity in the neighborhood. However, some neighbors, like Barb Cordova are worried about the animal's safety.

"We do have a lot of predators out here, and he's wandering out alone, and I don't want him to be a coyote's dinner," Cordova said.

Arizona Game and Fish said it's not uncommon to see peacocks since so many people in Arizona own them. Especially if they get lost, it's often hard for them to find their way home.

In this particular case, a local peacock expert is helping neighbors to return the peacock home.
