Three people are in critical condition and two others were hurt in a head-on crash on Friday at a West Valley intersection.
Goodyear Fire Department spokesman Tim Wayne said the two-car crash happened around noon at Estrella Parkway and MC85.
Three people were taken to a local trauma center with critical injuries, according to Wayne.
Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Calbert Gillett two other people were also transported to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
It is unclear at this time what led to the crash.
