GLENDALE, AZ — Police are searching for a driver responsible for hitting and killing a woman in Glendale on Monday night.
According to Glendale police, officers responded to Bicentennial Park near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 6:45 p.m. on reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the roadway.
The vehicle fled the area before police arrived on scene.
The woman was treated on scene and taken to an area hospital, but later died as a result of her injuries.
The woman has yet to be identified.
There was no suspect vehicle description immediately available.
