GLENDALE, AZ — Glendale police are looking for a suspect accused of committing crimes against at least three children.

According to police, between August, 2019 and February, 2020, the suspect followed young girls into grocery stores and waited until they were alone.

The suspect approached the girls, between 13-15 years old on each occasion and tried to shake their hand. After grabbing the girls’ hands he would then force their hands toward his genitals.

Police say this happened in at least three instances at stores between 58th and 67th avenues along Bethany Home Road.

“Victims and witnesses have described the suspect as a Hispanic male with light complexion or a Caucasian male with dark complexion,” Glendale police said in a release. “He is believed to be 30-40 years old with short black hair (possibly thinning). He is approximately 5’8” tall and approximately 200 pounds.”

Police also say he spoke with a thick Spanish accent.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Glendale police at 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
