GLENDALE, AZ — Police say a man has been taken to the hospital after being shot and crashing into a building Friday.
Officers responded to the area of 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road for a report of unknown trouble. They arrived to find a man who had crashed into a building.
Police say the victim was shot less than a block away and was taken to the hospital with a life-threatening injury.
Nearby schools were momentarily placed on lockdown as a result of the incident, according to a police spokesperson.
Police said the suspected shooter is in custody and there are no other suspects sought in connection with what happened.
