Each Friday afternoon, we're looking for your help to track down fugitives in our state.

Wanted: Max Alejandro Quijada

Charges: Murder

Can you help find Max Alejandro Quijada?

On Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, around 9:40 p.m., Glendale police were called to a home near 55th and Glendale avenues, where they found 32-year-old Elena Gonzalez fighting for her life.

She had been shot several times during a fight with her boyfriend, 35-year-old Max Alejandro Quijada.

Gonzalez later died from her injuries.

By the time officers arrived, Quijada had left the scene in a newer model gray Dodge Charger with Arizona license plate BJL7714.

The night of the shooting, police told ABC15 there was a witness inside the home, but would not provide any details on who that witness was or what they saw. They originally identified Quijada as a person of interest, but later determined he likely pulled the trigger.

Quijada is 6 feet tall, about 200 pounds, has brown eyes, and at the time of the murder had his head shaved.

He has tattoos on his upper left arm, including one that shows "praying hands".

Anyone with information on Quijada's whereabouts is asked to contact Glendale police at 623-930-3173 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
