EL MIRAGE, AZ — El Mirage police say a juvenile is in custody after a deadly shooting Monday afternoon.
Officials say the shooting happened near El Mirage and Cactus roads around 12:30 p.m.
A 22-year-old man was found in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they were given a suspect description and the suspect reportedly fled into a home nearby. Officers eventually took the suspect, only identified as a juvenile boy, into custody after he attempted to flee the area through backyards.
The juvenile was booked into a juvenile detention facility on murder, aggravated assault, and possession of firearm charges.
