BUCKEYE, AZ — A wrong-way driver was stopped in the Buckeye area late Tuesday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a vehicle driving southbound in the northbound lanes was stopped on State Route 85 near milepost 150.
DPS says the driver was elderly and confused. No crashes or injuries were reported during the incident.
This is the second reported wrong-way incident in the Valley Tuesday. Earlier in the morning, DPS took an impaired driver in custody after an incident along Interstate 10 near Queen Creek Road.
