TEMPE, AZ — Tempe police say a wrong-way driver was hurt in a single-vehicle rollover crash early Thursday morning.
Police and fire crews were called to Price Road, between Broadway Road and Southern Avenue, around 2:30 a.m. in response to the crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates the driver was reportedly traveling southbound on Price Road in the northbound lanes of traffic before hitting a curb, causing it to roll.
The driver was removed from the car by fire officials and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
No one else was in the car at the time of the crash.
Police say speed and impairment are both believed to be factors in the crash.
