TEMPE. AZ — Tempe police are asking for the public's help identifying an armed suspect who robbed the Alamo Drafthouse Saturday morning.
Police say the suspect confronted an employee as they were walking inside the cinema near Baseline and Lakeshore Drive around 9 a.m.
The suspect then pulled out a small black handgun and demanded money from the cash register. Authorities say the suspect then stole the employee's car described as a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville with Arizona License Plate CNE-5760.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 50 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 200 pounds with salt & pepper hair and unshaven. He was last seen wearing a white golfers style hat, gray long sleeved shirt and tan cargo shorts.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311. Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
