An elderly woman crashed her vehicle into a Japanese restaurant in Tempe on Tuesday morning.

Tempe police said the business was closed at the time of the crash and no one was injured. The driver was out of the vehicle and walking around, police said.

Pictures tweeted out by Tempe Police showed a a dark-colored crossover-type vehicle partially inside the Tampopo Japanese Ramen restaurant near McClintock Drive and Southern Avenue.

The vehicle appears to have gone through the front doors, shattering the glass, and into the restaurant's dining room.

The restaurant was closed Tuesday and said they expected to be closed for "maybe a couple weeks," according to a Facebook post.

So sorry we can't open today and maybe a couple weeks due to the incident. Somebody drove into my restaurant this early...
