TEMPE, AZ — Tempe police are looking for a man suspected of sexually abusing a woman at an apartment complex last month.

According to officials, the victim answered the door at her apartment near McClintock Drive and Apache Boulevard on May 24. A man asked for her phone number and she refused, so the man allegedly pushed the door open and let himself inside. Police say the man then grabbed the woman and attempted to pull her clothes down before fleeing.

A pool party was going on at the complex at the time of the incident, but the victim did not attend the party, officials say.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern man in his twenties, around 6 feet tall. He has a heavy build, black hair and a slight accent. Police say he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and grey/black athletic shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 480-350-8311.
