Officials investigating after 'hateful' flyers found on ASU campus

Arizona State University is investigating after "hateful" flyers were found on campus. 

According to the university, flyers were recently located around the campus that are "saddening."

Police were made aware of the flyers. It's not clear what the flyers said, but ASU said it was "hateful rhetoric." 

The university said its campus is a place "where open debate can thrive and honest disagreements can be explored" and added that ensuring the student's safety is their top priority. They are undertaking "extensive efforts" to ensure safety to all students "is not compromised" after the flyers were located. 

It's unclear how many flyers there were, where they were located or the content of the flyers.
