Man shot at house party in Tempe

Tempe Police say one man is in serious condition after he was shot at a party early Sunday morning.

The victim was reportedly at the party located near Loop 101 and Broadway Road with two friends and were later asked to leave.

They left, but police say they threatened to come back and shoot up the party.

Police say they came back to the home after 4 a.m. and rang the door bell, and when guests opened the door, an altercation started.

One person in the scuffle had a knife, but another guest reportedly pulled a gun and shot the victim.

Police say he was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable condition.

The shooter was the one who alerted police of what happened and is currently being questioned.
