Deadly pedestrian-involved crash near US-60 and Priest under investigation

TEMPE, AZ — A deadly pedestrian-involved crash is under investigation along US 60 in Tempe overnight.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a single-vehicle crash reportedly occurred around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes of US 60 near Priest Drive. The driver then fled the scene of the crash, ran onto the eastbound lanes, and was hit by a car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver who struck the victim stayed at the scene and was not hurt.

No further information was immediately available.
