Westbound Interstate 10 has reopened at Baseline Road after a deadly pedestrian-involved crash.
Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said a woman was walking her dog in the middle of Interstate 10 between Baseline Road and the US 60 when she was hit.
A vehicle hit the woman and the dog. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.
DPS has not ruled out impairment on the part of the pedestrian. She has not been identified.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and was not impaired, DPS said.
