Authorities are searching for three suspects after a strong-arm robbery Monday night.

An Arizona State University Police Department spokeswoman said officers assisted Tempe police with a robbery call in the area of Terrace Road and Lemon Street.

Tempe police said a man in his 20s had his backpack yanked from his shoulder and the three suspects ran off. No weapons were displayed, according to a Tempe police spokeswoman.

ASU officers checked several campus buildings in that area and temporarily increased their presence from Rural Road to S. Forest Avenue.

The scene was secured around 9 p.m. and police were leaving the scene, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

No further information was immediately available.
