Students were evacuated from an East Valley school on Tuesday because of a fire on campus.
Rural Metro said the fire started at Freedom Christian Academy in San Tan Valley on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, the fire started near an A/C unit on campus and was isolated to the area.
One student is being evaluated for possible smoke inhalation.
The school is located near Gantzel and Ocotillo Roads.
There is no word if school has been canceled for the remainder of the day or if students will return to class.
