Mesa police and Silent Witness are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspected thief who wore a distinctive Marvel comics sweatshirt during two robberies.
Police say the robberies happened on July 6 and July 14 at two separate Circle K's located near Broadway and Dobson roads.
Authorities say in the robberies the suspect entered the stores and confronted the clerks, telling them he had a handgun.
The suspect obtained cash from the clerks in each of the robberies and was seen leaving on foot.
Police say the suspect is described as African-American, between 18 and 21 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing 150 pounds.
In each of the robberies, the suspect was wearing a Marvel comics print, multicolored jacket with black sleeves and torn blue jeans.
