MESA, AZ — Authorities are investigating after a woman was shot in a possible road rage situation Monday night.
Mesa police say prior to the shooting, a white SUV and tan car were seen driving aggressively near Country Club Drive and Rio Salado Parkway.
Officers say when both vehicles stopped at Rio Salado Parkway, the women in the SUV were shot at by someone riding in the tan car.
One of the women was shot three times and is in critical condition, police say. The other woman was injured in the incident but was not shot.
Police say two men were arrested in connection to the shooting.
