MESA, AZ — One person has died and another was seriously hurt after a crash in Mesa on Saturday morning, according to police.
It happened near Val Vista Drive and Southern Avenue just before 7:30 a.m.
Police say two people were taken to a hospital where one person died. The other suffered life-threatening injuries.
There was damage to homes from bricks flying due to the crash, police said.
It is unclear what led to the crash, but police believe speed and impairment were factors.
The crash remains under investigation.
