A motorcyclist has died hours after a crash Saturday morning in Gilbert.
Officers shut down eastbound Germann Road from Greenfield to Higley roads. for several hours while they investigated the crash.
The motorcycle rider was initially seriously injured, but police said Saturday night the rider had later died.
No other information was immediately available about the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The collision is the city's third fatal crash this year, according to Police Chief Tim Dorn.
