Linda Carroll believes in second chances. Four years ago, she hired Kenneth Waters to take care of some repairs around her home and said the two become friends. When he ran into trouble, she put up her home as collateral for his bond.

“You can’t trust anyone, I guess that was a valuable lesson for me,” she told ABC15.

Waters never showed up to hear the verdict against him and, in May, was found guilty of drugs and weapons charges.

Friends of Carroll, who suffers from emphysema and COPD, have been helping her try and track Waters down before a July 17 bond forfeiture hearing.

“I got no respect for him anymore,” she said, and wants Waters to, “be a man, step up and turn yourself in.”

A representative with Alliance Bail Bonds told ABC15 their agents are doing all they can to track the 53-year-old down. They are hoping to be granted an extension by the court.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is being urged to call 480-586-0836.
