MESA, AZ — A deadly crash has shut down a portion of Loop 202 Red Mountain in Mesa.
According to Arizona Department of Public Safety officials, the crash occurred just before 5 a.m. Thursday near University Drive.
Officials say a vehicle reportedly struck a wall at a high-speed, causing one fatality.
The cause of the crash is not known.
Arizona Department of Transportation says eastbound lanes have been impacted.
