Mesa police are investigating after a body was found in a canal Friday night.

Authorities were called to the scene near Gilbert and McKellips roads around 7 p.m.
Detective Nik Rasheta said the body of 22-year-old John Michael Krause was recovered from the canal.
Mesa police said the cause of death has not been determined yet, but there are no signs that lead detectives to believe foul play is involved.
