A woman has been reunited with her dog after he went missing during a car accident in Globe.

Mary Elizabeth Enmann reached out to ABC15 weeks ago in hopes that someone could reunite her with her 4-year-old Corgi Collie mix Easy.

After a month of searching, Enmann’s beloved pup has been found. She made the drive from San Jose, California to Mesa on Friday afternoon to take Easy home.

“I’m extremely excited — I hope he recognizes me,” Enmann said before their emotional reunion.

Enmann says Easy was found wandering the desert somewhere between Globe and Bylas.

“I have been so depressed; I just had this big hole in me,” she explained.

Dedicated to finding her dog, Enmann spent several days in Globe after the crash looking for someone who may have spotted him. She passed out flyers to strangers and gained support on social media.

Julie Cassadore, with the Geronimo Animal Rescue team, says pet parents never give up looking for their furry friends.

“When a dog goes missing like this, you just never give up hope and you just keep going; you encourage each other,” Cassadore said.

The man who found Easy was thanked with a $600 reward — a reward that he could really use right now.

The man told ABC15 his wife is battling a life-threatening illness and the extra cash will go towards her recovery.
