Chandler police are releasing the name of the suspect accused of multiple armed robberies and barricading himself a Gilbert home.

Police were called to the 3300 block of East Loma Vista Drive on Wednesday after 49-year-old Tracy Eugene McCoy refused to come out of a home.

According to a police spokesperson, McCoy is accused of two armed robberies at Circle K locations Tuesday night.

After an hour of negotiating with the suspect, McCoy was arrested and charged with two courts of armed robbery.

The SWAT situation led to a lockdown at Williams Field High School in Gilbert, but it has since been lifted.

The school said Gilbert police put the campus on lockdown due to a situation in a neighborhood on Wednesday morning.

There was no situation on the campus at any point, but officials but the school on lockdown as a precaution. The students were released around 11:30 a.m.

Officials on scene said a man barricaded himself inside a home has been taken into custody. He is the suspect in at least two overnight Circle K armed robberies in the area.
