Wedding photographers work to capture the memorable moments from a couple's special day. However, sometimes, external events make the wedding particularly special.
That was the case for photographer Eric Butler, who was hired to take pictures at the wedding of newlyweds Carly and J. T. Morrissey.
The couple chose Shenandoah Mill as their venue, which happened to be about a half-mile south of Saturday's five-alarm fire at a construction site near Gilbert and Warner.
"It was very obvious that it was going to become part of their wedding experience, so we grabbed a few and I talked to the couple a little bit later about it," Butler said. "As we were doing formals, we started hearing explosions."
Butler posted some of the images from the couple's first dance on Facebook, where the images quickly spread.
Despite the large plume of smoke, the wedding continued and everyone was able to enjoy the party.
Pixel Dust Photography also extended gratitude toward the fire crews who helped keep the community safe during the ordeal.
