GILBERT, AZ — The Gilbert Police Department says a child found alone Wednesday is home safely.

Police say the child was found near Val Vista and Elliot roads. He was reunited with family and brought home just before 1:30 p.m.
Minutes after Gilbert police put out their alert, officers in Goodyear announced they encountered a toddler estimated to be one or two years old alone near 167th Avenue and Fillmore.
