A 20-year-old Mesa man faces multiple charges after he allegedly tried to lure a person posing as a 14-year-old for sex.
Chandler police say between November 7 and November 9, Matthew David Xanders communicated with a person believed to be a 14-year-old girl through a social media app.
During the conversation, Xanders allegedly solicited the "14-year-old" multiple times for oral sex and sexual intercourse with a condom.
Police say Xanders also sent six images of his penis to the person posing as the teen.
On November 9, Xanders arrived at a designated location in Chandler to engage in sexual activity with the "14-year-old" and was then taken into custody.
According to court documents, a box of new condoms was found in his possession.
He faces charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
