Man arrested for DUI after another driver struck his vehicle in Chandler

CHANDLER, AZ - Police are identifying the man who died after having a medical emergency while driving in Chandler on Friday.

The Chandler Fire Department received reports around 8 a.m. in the area of Price and Elliot roads about a crash.

According to a fire spokesperson, 75-year-old Jack Spallone suffered a medical episode while behind the wheel and crashed into another car.

The exact cause of his death is unknown, police said.

The second driver, later identified as 54-year-old Michael David Barrow, was arrested for DUI, police said. Barrow did not suffer any injuries during the accident.
