CHANDLER, AZ — Authorities say residents of an apartment complex in Chandler are safe after reports of a shooting in one of the units.
Officers were called to the Stone Oak Apartment complex near Pecos and Dobson roads around 6:20 p.m.
We have determined this incident was a false report called into police, commonly referred to as swatting.

When police arrived, they found all occupants of the apartment were okay, according to Sgt. Jason McClimans.
McClimans said no shooting or violent crime occurred. He said police are investigating a "swatting” call in regards to this incident.
