Police are investigating after two people were found dead after a shooting in Chandler

Police received a 911 call around 9 p.m. Saturday about a shooting in an apartment complex parking lot near Elliot Road and Arizona Avenue.

According to a police spokesperson, a passerby saw a dark-colored sedan leaving the parking lot around the time of the incident.

When officers arrived at the scene one victim was found lying on the ground, officials said. The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Mesa police located two additional victims inside a car near Alma School and Guadalupe roads, a Chandler police spokesperson said.

A woman was found in the car suffering a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. A second person in the car was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It's believed that the two incidents are related.
