The body was a 21-year-old Chandler man who was reported missing last week has been found in northern Arizona.
Ethan Depler's body was found Friday near Interstate 40 north of Pittmann Valley, according to the Coconino County Sheriff's Office. His vehicle was located about 100 to 150 yards away.
CCSO said a forest official recognized Depler's vehicle after seeing it on a missing person's flier.
Last week, friends and family said Depler suffered from mental health problems prior to his disappearance and contacted police after he posted a message on Facebook and left a suicidal letter.
His body was taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner's Officer where they will determine the official cause of death. Authorities are looking into the possibility that Depler died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
