PHOENIX — A woman is dead after a double house fire near 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road early Friday morning.
Officials were called to the scene around 2 a.m. where two homes were on fire.
Crews were able to control the blaze, but, unfortunately, found a woman dead inside one of the homes.
The woman has not yet been named.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no other injuries were reported.
This is the second of three deadly fires in the Valley in three days.
Phoenix Fire officials say one person was found dead after a house fire near 43rd and Southern avenues on Thursday morning.
Then Saturday morning, Mesa firefighters found one person dead inside a travel trailer that caught fire near Country Club Drive and Broadway Road.
