PHOENIX, AZ — A Valley family is grateful no one was seriously injured after a car crashed into a home Tuesday morning.
According to Phoenix Police, a 2006 Dodge Charger crashed into the room of a home near 40th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
The vehicle was heading westbound and drifted across the eastbound lanes and went through three yards before hitting the home, according to police.
A woman who is visiting family and was asleep at the home says she heard what she thought was an explosion. She told ABC15 the car hit an office area, not a bedroom, and had it been later in the day there may have been someone in the area where the car hit.
Phoenix police say the driver suffered minor injuries and they are working to determine if impairment was a factor in the crash.
