Three people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a Phoenix canal early Monday morning.
Phoenix fire officials said crews responded to a report of a car that crashed into a canal near 51st Avenue and Osborn Road just after 1 a.m.
As crews arrived on the scene, two of the car's occupants had already made it out.
Firefighters quickly rescued the third occupant out of the car.
The three patients, all adults, were taken to the hospital in serious condition, according to fire officials.
