Police investigating after man drove into oncoming traffic, killing 51-year-old man in west Phoenix

PHOENIX - Police are investigating a deadly crash in west Phoenix Saturday morning.

Around 10:20 a.m. a car being driven by a 20-year-old man was heading northbound on 75th Avenue and for unknown reasons, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a southbound vehicle head-on near Osborn Road, police said. 

Police say the driver of the southbound vehicle, 51-year-old Juan Guerrero-Mancera, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The 20-year-old driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and is being investigated for possible impairment, according to police. 

Each vehicle's passenger were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
