Authorities have identified a 64-year-old pedestrian who was killed in a crash in the West Valley on Tuesday evening.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. just north of the 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road intersection. The pedestrian, Loreto Rodriguez-Tirado, was struck and killed.

Police say Rodriguez-Tirado was crossing 83rd Avenue from east to west when he was struck by a vehicle.

The driver remained on scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said. Speed does not appear to be a factor and no charges are pending in the collision.
